SHM’s Leadership Academy has partnered with Jefferson College of Population Health in a shared goal in educating physicians to be effective leaders and managers in the pursuit of healthcare quality and safety and population health.
By attending at least two of the four SHM Leadership Academies, you will receive the following through the Jefferson partnership:
- A 15% tuition discount
- Three credit hours towards a Population Health Master of Science Program: Healthcare Quality & Safety, Health Policy, Population Health or Applied Health Economics & Outcomes Research
The Population Health Academy, a week-long professional development program offered by the Jefferson College of Population Health, provides an overview of the tenets of population health and the key components necessary to build a population health model/framework.
Held on Jefferson’s downtown Philadelphia Campus, the program has been redesigned to better meet the educational needs of a wider scope of learners. The newly revised Academy offers 2 programs in 1 – a more intensive and robust 5-day experience (including a new hands-on workshop focused on “Population Health Management and Strategy”) or an abbreviated 3-day course, “Population Health Essentials.” Attendees have the option to tailor their Academy experience based on their specific needs.
